Reaching Over The Net To Hit The Ball

If the first player stretches his hand over the net to the second players area and hits the ball before it cross to his side of the court (without touching the net) and get the point...... so is it good or fault ?

Answer

Hi, if a player reaches over the net to hit the ball he automatically looses the point!

However, there is one exception to this rule! If your opponent does a fantastic drop shot that bounces on your side and returns to his... then, and only then, are you are allowed to reach over!

Thanks for your question and all the best with your tennis,
Max
