Mental and Physical are Completely Integrated
by Anne
(England)
I read a paragraph written by Peter and Sebastian Coe recently and I thought how much these words of wisdom must affect every sportsman. The mental and physical are completely integrated in these words and they address the ever important and intriguing question of what fitness is...

When applying increasing doses of stress--for that is what a large part of race training is---giving the correct opportunities for recovery requires careful thought. And if the top performers can practise restraint in their training build-up, then so can fitness runners, for certainly the same pressures are not on them.'' PETER and SEBASTIAN COE
