Fun Doubles Tennis Drill

by Patrick
(London)

After playing tennis today in a squad lesson, I thought I would share a really fun doubles tennis drill that we did!

To start off, everybody started on their respective baseline. Somebody would feed the ball into play and the point would commence. The team that won the point would get to start the next point at the net. So, basically the first point is played out from the baseline to see who starts at the net!

The net is the only place you can actually mass up a score! So if you win the point at the net your team gets 1 point. If you loose, then you have to return to the baseline and your opponents come to the net and the score remains 0-0.

The first team to 3 points gets a "game", and whoever gets to 3 games first wins the match! It was great banter, and great fun...

Thanks for the other doubles tennis drills, they were brill!
